Project Description
As part of our sustainability initiative, the Rotary Club of Dharan Foothills, in collaboration with the Dharan Gavel Club, organized a tree plantation program at Shram Park, Pushre, Dharan on 26th July 2025. The project envisions the development of the area into a public park. In support of this vision, the local government has designated a section of land for the plantation of Calathea, a plant variety chosen for its ability to enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings. The proposed park will also feature a walking trail to provide a welcoming space for visitors. The enthusiastic participation of members of the Dharan Gavel Club alongside Rotarians reflected a strong sense of shared responsibility and commitment toward environmental preservation. Mr Gopal Rai also conducted an interactive session on correct methods of plantation. This plantation initiative aligns with and contributes to the broader goals of Rotary District 3292 in fostering a greener and more sustainable future.
